The Brutal Last Hours of Gaddafi
Read Time:33 Second
The 42 years of bloody dictatorship of the Libyan ruler Muammar Gaddafi ended in a bloody and disorderly fashion on October 20, 2011 after months of civil war conflict with enforcement of NATO air strikes. Having once been one of the most of flamboyant and feared rulers in the Arab world, the hours of Gaddafi did not include the processes of trial or justice, however, instead, vengeance, humiliation, and excessive brutality.
Gaddafi tried to escape in a convoy of his loyalists as rebel troops were about to attack his hometown of Sirte. NATO drones and French fighter jets sighted the column, began airstrikes, disabling at least several vehicles, scattering the group.
